S. Allan Adelman Named Winner of 2016 David J.
Greenburg Service Award

WASHINGTON, DC, June 27, 2015 - The American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) is pleased to announce that the 2016 David J. Greenburg Service Award has been awarded to S. Allan Adelman, Shareholder with the firm LeClairRyan in Annapolis, MD. The award was presented to Mr. Adelman on June 27, 2016 at the AHLA Annual Meeting in Denver, CO.
Mr. Adelman is a longtime leader in AHLA, serving as President of the Board of Directors from 2005-2006 and a member of the Board from 1997-2007. Named an AHLA Fellow in 2014, he served as chair of numerous committees as well as the Medical Staff, Credentialing, and Peer Review Practice Group. A frequent speaker, Mr. Adelman served several terms as Chair of the Hospitals and Health Systems Law Institute Program Planning Committee, and is the co-author of AHLA Peer Review Hearing Guidebook, Second Edition.
"Al Adelman’s record of service to the Association is outstanding; he exemplifies the spirit of collegiality we strive for at AHLA making him an obvious choice for the David J. Greenburg award,” said Immediate Past President Lois Dehls Cornell. “It is my honor to recognize him for his many accomplishments to the Association.”
The award is named after David J. Greenburg, who was instrumental in the formation of both the American Academy of Healthcare Attorneys and the National Health Lawyers Association. AHLA’s success today is due in large part to Mr. Greenburg’s creativity, entrepreneurship, and vision.
